RHOME -- Mattie Fay Baker, 90, went home to be with her Father on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 in Prescott, Arizona.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Officiator: Bro. Leroy Jackson. Pallbearers: Stokes, Jim Tom Stokes, Ricky Stokes, David Stokes, Mike Stokes, and Bobby Waters. Honorary Pallbearer: Bill Markum.
Mattie Fay was born on November 9, 1916 in Wise County, Texas to James and Mary Stokes. She was a retired certified nurse at Decatur Convalescent Center.
Mattie was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, J.W. Neel and George Baker; five brothers, Oscar Stokes, J.T. Stokes, Marion Stokes, and Kenneth Stokes; one sister, Margaret Walker.
Survivors: son, George Mayfield and wife Winogene of Paradise; daughter, Mary Ellen Mayfield of Prescott, Arizona; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren; brother, Bill Stokes of Fredericksburg.
