Chico ~ Matthew Alvus Matney, 23, a welder, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Chico.
Funeral is 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rob Hawkins will officiate.
Matthew was born on January 15, 1989 to Brett and DeAnn (Mayhugh) Matney in Fort Worth. He worked for R & R Welding.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Alton Mayhugh.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Brett and DeAnn Matney of Chico; his brother, Patrick Matney of Chico; his grandparents, Jerry and Nedra Matney of Surprise, Arizona; his grandmother, Mary Mayhugh of Mansfield; other family members and a host of friends.
