Decatur ~ Mary Jane Niblett, 72, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Trinity Fellowship Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Pastor Cole Wells will officiate. Pallbearers include Tanner Lemmon, Greyson Lemmon, Gabe Meraz, Rafael Meraz, Bo Lemmon, Kyle Reynolds, and Brent Snyder.
Mary was born on September 19, 1947, to Gene and Bunny (Packer) Johnson in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Ellis Gene Niblett on September 6, 1963 in Gainesville, Texas. Mary was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Decatur; she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Susan Brooke Niblett.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Gene Niblett of Decatur; her daughters, Kimberly Niblett of Decatur, and Stephanie Meraz of Denton; her son, Matthew Basham and wife Melissa of Denton; her grandchildren, Brooke Reynolds and husband Kyle, Tanner Lemmon, Greyson Lemmon, Macey Jane Lemmon, Julie Meraz, Gabe Meraz, and Marley Basham; her great-grandchildren, Bentley Baker, Bryson Baker, Bodie Baker, Jackson Reynolds, Hudson Reynolds, and Cooper Lemmon; her brother Bill Johnson and wife Brenda of Alabama; extended family and a host of friends.
