Mary Frances (Jenkins) Winfrey

February 11, 1929 — October 8, 2014

Rhome ~ Mary Frances Winfrey, 85, a retired tailor, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Rhome.

Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins funeral home.

Robert Spicer will officiate.

Mary was born on February 11, 1929 to John and Della (Jolly) Jenkins in Rossville, Georgia.  She was united in marriage to O.B. Winfrey on August 11, 1950 in Bastrop, Louisiana. Mary retired from being a seamstress after over 25 years. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. Winfrey; her parents; 2 sons, Randy Winfrey and Dan Winfrey; 4 siblings.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karen Williams of Rhome and Donna Griffin of Houston; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Wauson and Dale Hand; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dillon; her sister, Jewell LeRoy of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
