Mary Elizabeth (Maddux) Price-Deering

Chico ~ Mary Elizabeth Price-Deering, 76, a nurses aid and cook, went to be with our Lord Friday, July 18, 2014 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Jim Ned Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bro. Dwight Trotter will officiate. Pallbearers include Ricky Walton, Nocona Skelton, Justin Skelton, Daniel Davidson, David Deering, Andrew Long, Matthew Deering, Jeremiah Long, and Eric Long. Honorary pallbearer is Blake Long II.

Mary was born on April 29, 1938 to Woodrow and Birdie (Stockman) Maddux in Wise County, Texas. She was united in marriage to Clyde Deering. Mary was a nurses aid and cook at Sunny Hills Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clyde Deering and Jimmy Price; her son, Perry Deering; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Long and Jason Bruce.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Clyde W. Deering and wife Carla of Chico, Robert Deering and wife Marsha of Paradise, John Deering of Chico, and Gary Deering and wife Charlene of Paradise; her daughters, Elizabeth Long and husband Blake of Chico, Stella Davidson of Bowie, Elaine Vislosky and husband Jay of Chico, and Sherrie Skelton of Chico; 28 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; her brother, Glenn Maddux and wife Linda of Paradise; her sister, Linda Byers and husband Jurden of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
