Bridgeport ~ Mary Sue Duncan, 77, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Dye Mound Cemetery in Saint Jo. Visitation is Friday 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Apostle Quint Burks will officiate. Pallbearers include Zane Holland, Stephen Forrester, Robert Dorado, Marshall Thomas, and Robert Maples.
Mary was born on December 28, 1937 to Daniel and Callie (Williams) Maples in Saint Jo. She was united in marriage to Ervin “Puss” Duncan on May 11, 1957 in Gainesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin “Puss”. Duncan; her son, David Duncan; her sisters, Jean Butler, Irene Maneely, Essie Mae Evans; her brothers, D.M., M.A., Glenn, Roy, Bill, and Wilson Maples.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Pamela Elise Schwartz of Bridgeport, Sharla Duncan of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Brittany Duncan, Brandy Duncan, Katy Fox, and Brandon Wright; her great-grandchildren, Ripley, Lauren, and Lucas; her brother, Earl Maples and wife Frances of Lefors, Texas; other family members and a host of friends.
