Graveside service is 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25th at Fairview Cemetery with Charles Hughes officiating. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Marvin was born March 29, 1928 in Decatur to Hosea Marvin and Nellie (Pitts) Potter. He was united in marriage to Sarah Rodriguez on November 30, 1979 in Reno, Nevada.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah Potter of Decatur; son, Marvin Potter, Jr. of Castro Valley, California; brother, Jackie Potter; two sisters, Venita Brown and Betty Brooks; nephew, Pete Potter all of Decatur; other family members and a host of friends.
