Decatur ~ Mark Hancock, 66, a retired funeral director, went to be with our Lord Thursday, November 09, 2017 in Denton.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Rosston with burial in Rosston Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Larry Kruger and Doyle Henderson will officiate. Pallbearers include David Hancock, Scott Hancock, Richard Rimpau, Jacob Rimpau, Steve Hall, and Jim Fortenberry.
Mark was born on September 30, 1951 to Kenneth and Ann (Fortenberry) Hancock in Dallas, Texas. He was united in marriage to Carol Jean Willis on July 19, 1996 in The Colony, Texas. Mark retired as a funeral director from Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rosston.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hancock; his wife Carol Hancock.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Ann Hancock of Decatur; his brother, Phil Hancock and wife Bonnie of Decatur; his sister, Jo Ann Rimpau and husband Jim of Decatur; 4 nephews; and a host of friends.
