Marjorie Ruth (Reynolds) Loyd

Decatur ~ Marjorie Ruth Loyd, 78, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Glen Kersey will officiate.

Marjorie was born January 4, 1944 to Gipp Americus and Ruby Rose (Blaylock) Reynolds in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage May 30, 1961 to Virgil Dalton Loyd in Bridgeport, Texas. She was a retired real estate agent and member of Grace Baptist Church. Marjorie was a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Loyd; her son, Larry Loyd; and her brother, Charles Reynolds; sisters, Janett Britt, and Shirley Kersey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Shallie Tierce and husband Logan of Paradise; her great grandsons, Trapper, Hagen, and Bridger Tierce all of Paradise; her brother-in-law, Bill Kersey of Paris; and 2 sister-n-laws, Mildred Cauthen, and Rene Grundy both of Decatur; extended family and numerous friends.
