Marie Moore

Rhome – Marie Moore, 96, went to be with our Lord Friday June 14, 2024 in Carrolton.

Graveside service is Wednesday 1:30 PM at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora.

John Bickham to officiate. Pallbearers include Joel Moore, J.P. Moore, Tony Ray Dickey, John Bickham, Brayden Dickey and Shane Moore.

Marie was born on July 29, 1927 to Merlin and Lillie Mae “Doodle” (Anderson) Dickey in Rhome. On February 5, 1944 in Rhome, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, A.T. Moore. She was self-employed as a beautician and worked in the food service industry for Chisholm Trail Elementary School. Marie was a house parent for 10 years at South Texas Children’s Home. She was very proud to be a member of the First Baptist Church in Rhome where she was active in many areas. Marie had a passion for working with people and with that passion she belonged to the Wise County Senior Citizen Group.  She was a beloved mother,  grandmother,  great grandmother, great -great grandmother, sister and friend to many who will miss her loving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her husband, A.T. Moore; her parents, Merlin and Lillie Mae “Doodle” Dickey; her son, Rodger Dale; her granddaughter, Haley Marie Bickham; 5 brothers, Wayne Dickey, Allen Dickey, Jim Dickey, Raymond Dickey and Tony Dickey; 2 sisters, Sug Gilbert and Jackie Malone.

Marie is survived by her son, Ronnie Moore and wife Tamara of Rhome; her daughter, Trina Bickham and husband John of Orange, Tx; her grandchildren, Micah Bickham, Farris Jones, Lisa Presley, Michael Corley, Christina Moore, Kandy Walker and Shane Moore; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great - great grandchildren and loved by lots from her numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
