Maria Elena Baltierra

March 2, 1964 — March 2, 2026

Decatur

Maria Elena Baltierra, 62, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Fort Worth.

Maria was born on March 2, 1964, in León to Florencio Becerra and Matilde Aguado. From an early age, she carried a warm spirit and a compassionate heart, always finding joy in caring for others. For many years, Maria served her community as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Medical City Decatur, where she devoted herself to helping and comforting those in her care. Her kindness and gentle nature touched not only the patients she cared for, but also the coworkers and friends who came to know and appreciate her.

Maria found happiness in life’s simple moments. She loved traveling and capturing special memories through photography, preserving the people and places she cherished most. She was also a talented seamstress and avid crafter who found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. Maria especially loved spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty and peace she found in nature

Above all, Maria’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandsons, Rowan and Landon, whom she adored beyond measure. She delighted in spoiling them and creating fun, silly memories filled with laughter—moments they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parent, Florencio Becerra.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Omar Baltierra and Alex Baltierra; her daughter-in-law, Kelli Baltierra; and her beloved grandsons, Rowan and Landon. She is also survived by her brother, Rolando Becerra, and his wife, Myriam H. Becerra, and their children, Edith and Rolando Jr. Maria will also be lovingly remembered by the Ruvalcaba family, the Polman family, the Prothro family, the Recio family, the Cruz family, her coworkers, and the many friends and members of her community whose lives she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 205 E. Boling St., Alvord 76225. Maria’s life was a gift of love, laughter, and kindness, and the memories she leaves behind will forever be a light in the hearts of those who loved her.
