BRIDGEPORT -- Mada Walker Bird, 89, retired owner of Mada's Dress Shop in Bridgeport, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Saturday. Officiating: Bro. Roger Rhodes. Mada married Rex Bird August 17, 1946 in Decatur. Mada was a former director of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Bridgeport Civic Club.
Survivors: daughter, Mary Helen Findley and husband Travis of Bridgeport; son, Buddy Bird of Arlington; grandson, Matt Dustin Findley of Bridgeport; sister, Eva Rasbury of Granbury; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
