Boyd ~ Mack Thomas “Tommy” Irvin, Jr., 66, a retired interventionist, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Boyd.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Azle First Assembly of God Church with burial at 9:15 a.m. Friday in D/FW National Cemetery. Family will receive friend’s 5-7 p.m.Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral home in Boyd.
Bro. Tim Stephens will officiate.
Tommy was born on April 29, 1948 to Mark Thomas, Sr. and Violet Irene (McDonald) in Baytown, Texas. He was united in marriage to Debra Brown on November 11, 1972 in Springdale, Arkansas. He spent 25 years of his life helping addicts, alcoholics, and people with trauma in their lives. He retired as a self employed therapist/counselor. Tommy loved God and he was a Godly man. He respected others and was an avid animal lover. Tommy was a wonderful husband and a good brother-in-law. If you knew him you were the better for it.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Danny Michael Irvin.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Debra Irvin of Boyd and his brother-in-law, Billy Bruce Snyder of Briar; other relatives and a host of friends.
