Lynwood "Lynn" Brown

Boyd ~ Lynwood George Brown, 82, went to be with our Lord June 27th, in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at First Baptist Church Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Boyd.

Rev. Steve Ewton will officiate. Pallbearers include Aaron Lambert, Zack Brown, Derek Lambert, Rusty Brown, Adam Lambert, Eric Brown, and Brad Clark.

Lynwood (Lynn) was born June 28th, 1937, to George Moore Brown and Sarah Elizabeth (Ellis) in Bladenboro, NC. He was united in marriage to Retha Sue (Gray) on January 25, 1957, at Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Lynwood proudly served our country in the United states Air Force for 10 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a postal clerk and was a member of First Baptist Church Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 62 years.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Jim Brown and wife Kristina of Justin, and Gary Brown of Boyd; his daughter, Susan Lambert and husband Danny of Boyd; his brother Russell Moore Brown of Evergreen, NC. Sister-in-law Bernice Gray; his grandchildren, Angel Clark and husband Brad of Fort Worth, Aaron Lambert and wife Lauren of Decatur, Zack Brown of Watauga, Tabitha Brown of Arlington, Derek Lambert and wife Hannah of Boyd, Rusty Brown of Boyd, Adam Lambert and wife Kelly of Paradise, and Eric Brown and wife Julia of  Watauga; his 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, a large extended family, and a host of friends.
