DECATUR -- Lynette Deckert Baccus, 68, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2007 in Decatur. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Craig Erb will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Kendall Deckert, Kent Deckert, Tyler Baccus, Landon McCarter, Matt McCarter, and Mark McCarter.
Lynette was born on March 10, 1939 in Great Bend, Kansas to Willard and Ruth (Cunningham) Ooton. She was a homemaker. She married Bobby Gene Baccus on October 1, 1997 in Decatur.
Lynette was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Geri.
Survivors: husband Bobby Baccus of Decatur; daughter, Kim McCarter and husband Mark of California; sons, Kent Deckert and wife Cari of Missouri, Kendall Deckert of Texas, Trevor Baccus of Saginaw, and Tyler Baccus of Decatur; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Bill Ooton of Florida.
