Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Aurora Baptist Church. Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 PM, Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Luther Clarence Kelly was born on December 31, 1949 in Belzoni, MS to his parents Luther & Ruby Kelly.

He grew up in Belzoni, where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball and ran track in High School, received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at Gooden Lake Baptist Church at the age of 18, and married His High School sweetheart Judy Davenport at the age of 20. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in August of this year.

Clarence answered the call of Jesus Christ upon his life to preach the Gospel in 1989. He has pastored churches in Texas and Louisiana and at the time of his death was faithfully serving as Pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in Caldwell, TX. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying Hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His greatest loves were his Lord and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory; wife Judy Kelly; son, Luke Kelly and Shanna Kerby of Chandler, Tx., Heather Lambert and husband Brian of Pasadena, Tx. Tara Griffis and her husband Casey of McKinney, Tx.; grandchildren: Hannah Lambert, Jacob Lambert, Kelly Lambert, Jackson Griffis, Carson Griffis, Hudson Griffis (due in March) Mason Kelly; brothers, Bob Howard and wife Debbie of Belzoni, MS, Harold Howard and wife Barbara Jean of Belzoni,MS., Danny Kelly and wife Theresa of Aurora,Tx. Eddie Kelly of Aurora, Tx.; sister Barbara Marlow and husband Don of Bowie, Tx. ; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
