Ponder ~ Loyce Sherwood, 75, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 10, 2020 in Denton, Texas.

Funeral is 10.30 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Springtown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home in Decatur.

Loyce was born on February 26, 1945 to Cecil and Martha (Wilson) Sherwood in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a security guard at Denton Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayland Pittman and wife Tammey of Justin and Floyd Pittman and wife Misty of Ponder; her daughter, Eilene Barclay of Justin; 7 grandchildren, William, Ashley, Courtney, Mackenzie, Payton, Lauren, and Bret; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Cindy Dooley and husband Tom, Shirley Vance, Barbara Sherwood, and Joyce Sherwood-Tow; 2 brothers, Perry Sherwood and wife Betty, Jack Sherwood and wife Hazel; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
