Paradise ~ Loyce Irene Holt Lowery, 74, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Paradise.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Paradise with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Corbin Young will officiate. Pallbearers include Derek Read, Reggie Read, Randy Read, Jamie Cook, Joe Tucker, and Chris Smith.
Loyce was born on July 17, 1939 to Royce and Mary Ella (Sizemore) Holt in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Charles "Charlie" Shankle who preceded her in death on January 1, 2014. Loyce was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paradise.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of more than 30 years, Charles "Charlie" Shankle.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cassandra Newman and husband Eddie of Paradise, Melonie Christian and husband Joey of Decatur, Leisha Young and husband Ren of Paradise; her sons, Greg Lowery and wife Mirenda of Paradise, Chris Lowery and wife Amy of Decatur; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Kay Roberts of Paradise, Reba Bradley and husband Wayne of Bridgeport; her brothers, Bobby Holt and wife Sharon of Bridgeport, Tommy Sims and wife Donna of Paradise; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
