Decatur ~ Louise Farrell Stone, 92, a housewife, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 10, 2014 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Father Thomas Bsouza will officiate. Pallbearers include Tommy Williams, Harold Mosley, Ed Jolly, Curtis Eaton, Chuck Boatner, and Ed Malek.
Louise was born on January 30, 1922 to William and Margaret (O’Sullivan) Farrell in Boston, Massachusetts. She was united in marriage to Billy Stone on May 1, 1943 in Washington D.C. Louise was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, she volunteered at Decatur Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years and the Decatur Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billy.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Bill Stone and wife Karen of Austin; her daughters, Kathy Stone and husband Nat Weems of Austin, Janet Garbarz and husband Dan of Grapevine; her grandchildren, Zeke, Ben, Hannah, Mallory, and Maddie; her special friend, Alex for all her care for mom; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
