Paradise

Lori Reddick Barrington, age 64, of Paradise, Texas, went home to be with our Lord on July 26, 2026, in Decatur, Texas.

Born on September 18, 1961, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Lori spent her life bringing beauty, laughter, and comfort to everyone she met. For over 40 years, she dedicated herself to her craft as a master hair stylist. For well over half of her career, she was the proud owner and operator of her own beauty salon in Watauga, TX, which she eventually relocated to Paradise, TX.

Much more than just a place for a haircut, Lori's salon was a beloved local institution—a traditional style "hangout and talk shop" type of business where people from all walks of life were welcomed & gathered to share stories over a cup of coffee while forming lasting friendships and giving everyone a caring environment to both "listen, as well as to be heard" when they need it the most. Lori was known for her vibrant personality, her listening ear, and her unique ability to make every person who sat in her chair feel special and valued. She was also an extremely talented chef in the kitchen who loved to cook & was very well known for creating the most delicious culinary creations to anyone that was lucky enough to taste one of her carefully & lovingly crafted meals. Gardening & growing her own vegetables to use in her amazing & authentic homemade meals was one of her absolute favorite hobbies, and she was highly passionate about tending to her garden and her beloved peach trees.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jason Reddick, his wife Angela Green Reddick, and their son (Lori’s Grandson) Jaxon Bradly Reddick; her other son, Royce Dallas Barrington; her sisters, Tammy Adams, Cindy Schlager, and Dana Pearson; her brothers Danny Reddick and Jaret Reddick; her father Dan Reddick and stepmother Sherrie Reddick; her sister-in-law Carol Barrington Sloan; and a long list of nieces, nephews, and friends who all loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Carlton Barrington; her mother, Shirley Coxsey, and her stepfather, Buddy Coxsey.

A celebration of life service will be held in her honor at 1 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Hawkins Funeral Home, 1909 Ninth St, Bridgeport, Texas, 76426.
