Lois Jane Fry, of Bridgeport, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2026, in Denton after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 26, 1946, in Lampasas, Texas to Aubrey LaVaughn and Lenora Jane Perry. Lois will be remembered as a woman whose life was rooted in devotion to her family, steady faith, and the simple joys that made a house feel like home. She built a long career with Gainesville I.S.D., where she worked as a secretary and gave years of faithful service. Outside of her work, she found happiness in caring for those around her and in the quiet pleasures she loved so well. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and there was a special warmth in the way she opened her home to her family. Lois also loved working puzzles, doing crosswords, and devoted with her daily Bible study. She had a deep appreciation for nature and flowers, and she especially loved gardening. More than anything, Lois cherished time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren held a treasured place in her heart, and later in life, her great-grandchildren brought her even more joy. The love she gave so freely will remain one of the most enduring gifts of her life. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Gerald Glenn Fry. She also leaves behind her daughter, Sherry Fry Anderson of Haslet, and her son, Sammy Fry and Daughter in-law Jodi Fry of Keller. Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her grandchildren, Dustin Green and wife Daniella Green, Courtney Green, Jarret Green, Alyssa Fry, and McKenna Fry. Great-grandchildren , Aubrey Green, Cora Tyler, and Emersyn Green. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Perry of Austin, and her sister-in-law, Susan Burton of Stephenville. Each of them shared in the love, care, and closeness that Lois so naturally created, and each will carry her memory in a deeply personal way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey LaVaughn Perry, Lenora Jane Barron Perry and sister Eleanor Fay Smith. Those who knew Lois will remember her for her welcoming spirit, her caring heart, and the way she made family the center of her life. Her love lives on in the memories she created, the home she created, the faith she practiced, and the generations of family who were blessed by her presence. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
