Lloyd Hubert Demory, Jr.

Boyd ~ Lloyd Hubert Demory, Jr., 69, a very loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Decatur.

Lloyd was born on December 28, 1950 to Lloyd and Dorothy (Holland) Demory in Beeville, Texas. He was united in marriage to Susan Denise Taylor on February 2, 1970 in San Diego, California, a defining moment of a love story that spanned for more than 44 years. Lloyd proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck and parts shop manager. Lloyd was a longtime resident of Lovington, New Mexico, but he also spent 12 years in Arizona before moving to Boyd, Texas to be closer to his family whom he dearly loved. He is also known as "Pops" to his grandsons, who he adored, guided, and cherished during every moment of their lives together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Denise Demory; son, Chad Demory; grandson, Cole Jennings; and brother, Danny Demory.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Taya Chancey and husband Jay of Boyd; 4 grandsons, Cameron Jennings, Spencer Brown, Zane Brown all of Boyd, and Jason Demory of Lovington; his brother, Stevie Demory of Lovington, New Mexico; his sister, Janet Demory Carson of Lovington, New Mexico; other beloved family members, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
