Newark ~ Lisa Jenell Payne, 48, a secretary, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 9, 2017 in Newark.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Scott Davis, Kirk Stanford, Shawn Phares, Michael Calvert, Randy Rowland Jr., Randy Rowland Sr., Lance Sanders, Don Cook, and Stephen Richardson.
Lisa was born on July 19, 1969 to Jimmy and Hazel (Steel) Payne in Dallas. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, GiGi, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Payne.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Chris Cromer of Newark; her daughter, Tara Benthall of Crosby; her son, James Benthall and wife Jennifer of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Lilly and Peyton Benthall; her mother, Hazel Faye Payne of Watauga; her sister, Tammy Roderick of Watauga; her brother, Eddie Payne of Greenville; other relatives and a host of friends.
