FORT WORTH -- Leroy Burch, 51, a former Wise County Sheriff, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 in Ft. Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Aurora Baptist Church. Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Officiating: Bro. Mike Boaldin. Pallbearers: David Box, Paul deaton, Harry Lamance, Steve Marshwll, Roy Dean, and Larry Jones. Honorary Pallbearers: Doug Whitehead, Allen Reddin, and Mike Bement.
Leroy was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Burch, Jr. and his brother-in-law, Chris Batterton.
Survivors: wife: Cathy Burch of Fort Worth; daughters: Traci Moore, Keri Stump, Amy Wilson, and Brittany Burch; Son: Dakota Burch; parents: Bill and Delores Burch of Newark; brothers: Troy, Jimmy, and Lesley Burch; sisters: Sherry Underwood, Shirley Jones, and Sharon Batterton; 5 grandchildren: Logan, Ethan, Mia, Cohen, and Reade; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
