Leona Elizabeth Jernigan

Leona Elizabeth Jernigan, 70, of Justin passed from this earth Saturday, June 6th, 2026 in Denton, Texas.

Leona was born January 30th, 1956 to Virgil “Shorty” and Mary Alice (Chandler) Hendricks in Mineral Wells, Texas. She worked at Justin Boots for years as a sales manager. Leona was a beloved mother and friend to many who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil “Shorty” Hendricks and her mother, Mary Alice Chandler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 4 sons, Billy Alexander and wife Malisa of Justin, Daniel Alexander and wife Shannon of Bryan, Johnny Alexander and wife Kristy, Jody Alexander and wife Amanda of Justin; her grandchildren, Blaton, Paxton, Tyler, Ethan, Emberlyn, Evan, Zhavia, Lewis, Mackenzie, Madison, Kaydence, and Arian, Julie, and Sara Alexander; 9 great-grandchildren; extended family and a host of friends.
