Boyd ~ Leon Etheridge, 77, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 10, 2012 at his home in Boyd.
Graveside service is 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at D/FW National Cemetery in Dallas. Family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Leon was born on October 13, 1934 to Marie Etheridge in Many, Louisiana. Leon was an oilfield roustabout for Mitchell Energy and a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Catherine Ann Colletti on June 15, 1954 in De Rider, Louisiana.
Leon is preceded in death by his mother, and his wife.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Anthony L. Etheridge and wife Charlene of Graham; his grandson, Emory Leroy Etheridge of Springtown; other family members and a host of friends.
