Lena was born on November 17, 1919 to Gustavo and Teresa (Janke) Catsaron in El Paso. She was united in marriage to Clyde Merrill in El Paso. Lena was an insurance clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Merrill.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, William Karstin of El Paso; her grandson, Tom Gillett of Portland, Oregon; her niece, Carolyn Wiggs of Sunset; her great nieces, Laura Wiggs of Houston and Wendy Hyatt of Keller.
