Lee Edward Steele

Boyd ~ Lee Steele, 59, a construction worker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 4, 2014 in Hurst.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers include Trae Luttrell, Matt Luttrell, Don Peebles, Dale Peebles, Russell Peebles, Bing Carmichael, Darrel Vermillion, and Dennis Kunkleman. Honorary pallbearers are Toby Miller, Rodney Vanderslice, H.B. Peebles, Harold Johnson, Rodney Maxwell, Trae Hamm, and Brent Wilson.

Lee was born on April 20, 1955 to William and Aliene (Schumacher) Steele in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was united in marriage to Tonya Janette Webster on July 31, 1982 in Tarrant County. Lee was a self employed construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Tonya Steele of Boyd; his sons, Christopher Steele of Boyd and Michael Steele of Weatherford; his daughters, Chantel Spelta and husband Shane of Nashville, Tennessee, April Steele of Wichita Falls, and Amanda Steele of Arlington; his grandchildren, Shannyn, Dylan, Davin, Zailey, and Katelyn; his brothers, Henry Steele and wife Sue of Gainesville and Mark Webster of Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
