Andrews, Texas ~ Lavetta Ann Wilkins, 97, a homemaker and realtor broker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 th at Mt. Moriah in Kilgore, Texas.
Ronald Choate will speak.
Lavetta was born on June 21, 1917 to James and Betty (Swindler) Menasco in Hale Center, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Wilkins Sr. on September 16, 1937 in Kilgore. Lavetta was a member of the Church of Christ in Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jim Wilkins and wife Yvonne of Pittsburg, Texas; her daughters, Elizabeth Roberson of Andrews, Joan Choate and husband Ronald of Decatur, Debbie Ray and husband Cliff of Midland; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
