Larry Calvin Van Wye, Jr., peacefully departed this world on August 14, 2025, in Bridgeport, Texas, at the age of 64.

Born on May 22, 1961, in the sunlit town of La Mesa, California to Larry Van Wye and Carol Ann Garthwright, Larry's journey through life was marked by his friendly demeanor and an unwavering commitment to those he loved and cherished. A proud alumnus of Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas, Larry carried with him the memories of his youth, which shaped his character into that of a compassionate and generous spirit. His innate ability to connect with others made him a beloved figure among his family, friends, and the greater community.

Larry is remembered with fondness by his sisters, Toni Neary of Grapevine, Texas, and Rebecca Scott of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who will carry forward the values of love and compassion that he so effortlessly embodied. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Patricia Van Wye of Bedford, Texas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Though he is preceded in death by his parents, his legacy continues to shine brightly through the lives he touched and the love he shared. 

Larry's gentle spirit will be profoundly missed, yet his memory will remain forever etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
