Kenny Shaw

Decatur ~ Kenny Shaw, 78, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his home in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with Mike Wheat and Gerre Joiner officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery near Krum. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pallbearers include Rex Maxwell, Bubba Hudson, Dennis Hudson, H.R. Pruett, Parker Slate, Johnny Coker, C.L. Gage, and Sam Powlen.

Kenny was born June 3, 1940 to Jasper Lee and Ruth Irene (Bishop) Shaw in Slidell, Texas. He married Carolyn Boydston on January 16, 1970 in Greenwood, Texas. Kenny was a Welder and Farmer, but enjoyed working beside his wife at Carolyn's Home Furnishings in Decatur.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Shaw of Decatur; daughter, Crystal Kelley and husband Ron of Double Oak, Texas; son, Jim Bob Shaw and wife Suzi of Dallas; 5 grandchildren, Trey, Andrew, Jacob, Samantha, and Molly; his mother, Irene Shaw of Denton; sister, Hazel Masten of Denton; numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Kenny is preceded in death by his father.
