Kenneth Earl Scherer

Runaway Bay ~ Kenneth Earl Scherer, 84, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Denton.

Graveside is 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Eternal Oaks Cemetery.

Kenneth was born on July 21, 1938 to Earl and Alice (Lorenz) Scherer in Mankato, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Gabriela Rodulfo on February 20, 1991 in Lima, Peru. Kenneth graduated from Devry Institute of Technology with an Associate’s Degree and retired from Lockheed Martin as an aircraft mechanic. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Kenneth was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Gabriela Scherer of Runaway Bay; his son, David “Buck” Scherer of Port Arthur; 2 daughters, Danette Scherer and husband Mitch of Little Rock, Arkansas and Gaby Cavins and husband Alex of San Diego, California; 3 grandchildren, Kenneth, Jonathan, and Lyanna Cavins; his sister, Carol Schaible; his brother, Danny Scherer; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
