Alvord: Kathryn Ann Hodges, 53, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Alvord.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Cleveland officiating. Interment will be in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Skyler McWilliams, Robbie Goss, Brandon Rhine, Wayne Newman, Mark Campbell and Andy Davis.
Kathryn was born July 24, 1956 in Monroe, Louisiana to Walter Wayne and Joann Mathis Newman. She married Charles Hodges on October 21, 2001 in Tallulah, Louisiana.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Hodges of Alvord; four daughters, Sara Goss and husband, Robbie of Louisiana, Jessica Rhine and husband Brandon of Bridgeport, Jenna Jacobs of Alvord and Frenchie Knight and husband, Kevin of Monroe, Louisiana; son, Ronnie Newman and wife, Kasidi of Bowie; 7 grandchildren; mother, JoAnn Scardino; father, Walter Wayne Newman, Sr.; three brothers, Walter Wayne Newman, Jr., Randall Newman and Mark Campbell; three sisters, Brenda Mooney, Tammy Romero and Kelly Campbell.
