Karolyn Kay (Cheek) Self

Karolyn Kay Self, 62, went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17th, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery.

Fred Raney will officiate. Pallbearers are, Kaden Stagg, Jimmy Carnes, Aaron Miller, Trace Miller, Skip Griffith and Doug Neely.

Karolyn was born on June 22, 1962 to Troy Cheek and Lavinda (Buntin) Suson in Muleshoe, Texas. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Cheek and her brother, Charles Cheek.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Lavinda Suson; daughter, Cynthia Lawson and son-in-law, Nick Lawson; her son, Leslie Self Jr.; her grandson, Brendan Lawson; her brother, Jimmy Cheek; her sister, LaNisha Suson, her nieces; other relatives and a host of friends.
