Boyd ~ Karlyne Jean Shields, 69, a retired food service employee, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Boyd.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Keeter Cemetery in Keeter. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Karlyne was born on April 16, 1944 to Jobie and Alma (Pate) Taylor in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Karlyne was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, J.B., Max and James and her sister, Betty Jo.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Leigh Powell and husband Keith of Charleston, South Carolina; her son, Jake Shields and wife Allison of Boyd; her grandchildren, Maxston and Jobie; her nieces, Nova Zett of Houston, Sherry Raines of Hope, Arkansas and Melissa Taylor of Missouri; her nephews, Eric White of Mansfield, John Taylor of Missouri, David Taylor of Missouri and Kevin Taylor of Alaska; other family members and a host of friends.
