Paradise ~ Karl “KC” Clifford Schoenthal, 54, a Police Officer, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Paradise.
Mass of Christian burial is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with burial in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
KC was born on April 28, 1963 to Frank and Edith (Bilton) Schoenthal in Littleton, Colorado. He was united in marriage to Tracie Ann Portman on December 20, 1986 in North Richland Hills. KC was a police officer for 31 years at Bedford, Haltom City, Wise County Sheriff’s Office, Rhome, and was currently with River Oaks Police Department. He served his country as a rifleman in the United States Marine Corps for three tours of duty in Beirut, Lebanon, earning many commendations. KC loved spending time with his family and fly fishing.
KC was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Schoenthal. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 31 years, Tracie Schoenthal of Paradise; his daughter, Cassie Krejci and husband Ryan of College Station; his son, Chance Schoenthal of Caldwell; his granddaughter, Callie Krejci of College Station; his father, Frank Schoenthal of Hurst; his brother, Chris Schoenthal and wife Lynn of Grand Prairie; aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews; and a host of friends.
