Chico ~ June Caldwell, 85, went to be with our Lord Tuesday November 14, 2017 in Chico.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Pleasant Grove # 3 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Ed Edington will officiate. Pallbearers include Barry Luckie, Mike Luckie, Cyle Dickinson, Steve Misner, Dale George, and Larry Madar.
June was born on February 27, 1932 to Thurston and Alma (Redwine) King in Chico, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Caldwell on May 26, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked for GTE until her retirement. June was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Melissa; and her sister, Geneva Scott.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, James Caldwell of Chico; her son, Larry Caldwell and wife Debbie of Sanger; her daughter, Helen Capps and husband James of Chico; her son, Glynn Caldwell and wife Sherry of Chico; her grandchildren, Candi, Mello-dee, Justin, Stacy, Michael, and Jessica; her great grandchildren, Grayson and Gauge; other family members and a host of friends.
