Juanita Faye (Burris) Green

Juanita Faye Green, 77, of Alvord went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 14, 2024.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial at Sunset Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, 5-7:00 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.

Bill Cleveland and Ken Herring will officiate. Pallbearers include Louis Stachowiak, Doug Tillman, Roddy Boston, Chris Powers, Culley Powers, and Devin Harris.

Juanita was born June 1, 1947 to Arnold Nolan and Vista Pauline (Kuykendall) Burris in Bowie, Texas. She was united in marriage to Dan Nathanial Green on September 27, 1965 in Keeter, Texas.  After graduating, Juanita worked and retired from G D Assembly.  She attended the First Baptist Church in Alvord. Juanita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brothers; and two grandchildren, Jeana and Jacob Greer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dan Green; her daughter, Joy Foster of Alvord; her son, Larry Green and wife Kathy of Decatur; her son Shan Green of Decatur; her daughter, Jennifer Bennet of Graford; multiple grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Powers of Azle; her brother, Ray Burris and wife Pam of North Richland Hills.
