Decatur ~ Juanita Faye Holland, 94, a retired secretary, went to be with our Lord Friday, September 26, 2014 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rev. Jerry Miller will officiate. Pallbearers include Jim Mercer, Olin Blasé, Randy Slimp, Jack Gainer, Bill Adams and James McMillian III.
Juanita was born on September 22, 1920 to Jewel and Grace (Talley) Beaver in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Henry Ivan Holland on September 16, 1946 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Juanita was a secretary for Decatur I.S.D., retiring in 1982. Juanita was a member of Wise Regional Heath System Auxiliary for 18 years. She traveled throughout the United States with the Rambler Chaparrals driving her own motor home until 2005. Juanita was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Hobert, Homer, Jake, Hershel and Jasper; her sister, Opal Stewart; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Holland; her grandson, Kirk Holland.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Holland of Decatur; her daughter, Pam Holland of Decatur; her granddaughter, Dawn Downe and husband Mark of Decatur; her sister, Mary Ausbrook of Commanche, Oklahoma; her brother, A.J. Beaver of Wichita Falls; her great-granddaughters, Crystal Rodriquez, of Bridgeport, Staci Downe of Mabank and Alexis Downe of Decatur; her great-great grandchildren, Brittany, Isaiah and Jayden of Bridgeport; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
