Juan Madrid

Juan  Madrid, 51, of Runaway Bay passed from this earth Saturday, April 25th, 2026.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 4th at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3rd at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Juan was born July 25th, 1974 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Gloria Avina in California. Juan was a landscaper for over 20 years, enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and being with family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Carmela Uriarte Madrid, and a brother, Audel Madrid.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gloria Avina; his children, Juan Madrid, Jackeline Madrid, Jesus Madrid, Antoni Madrid; his grandchild, Xavier Madrid; his father, Prudencio Madrid; his siblings, Daniel Madrid, Jorge Madrid, Adrian Madrid, and Mary Madrid-Angulo; extended family and a host of friends.
