Joyce Loraine Cox, 89, passed from this earth Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Graveside Service is 10 AM Thursday, July 3rd at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Fred Raney will officiate.

Joyce was born January 31, 1936 to Colonel Weber and Loyce Mellisa (Trible) Seals in Derricks, Arkansas. She was united in marriage October 1977 to Norman Cox in Tarrant County until his passing in 2015. Joyce was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel Weber and Loyce Seals; her husband of 38 years, Norman Cox; her sister, Jettie Hollingsworth; and her sons, Jimmy Smith and David Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Dave Cox and his wife Keri of Godley; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her nephews, Marshall and Tommy Anderson; extended family and a host of friends.
