Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Denton. Rev. Bryan Barrett will officiate. Family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include James Berry, Jesse Berry, Jason Carter, Doug Rudy, Dalane Bible, and MacArthur Wallace. Honorary pallbearers include John Watson, John Avant, Matt Watson, and Harold Watson.
Joseph was born October 30, 1963 in Houston, Texas to Carol Charles Chabert and Carole (Watson) Avant.
Left behind to cherish his memory are 3 daughters, Tiffany Mote of Saginaw, Corey Chabert of Decatur, and Amanda Pack of Austin; 1 son, Joshua Chabert of Decatur; 5 grandchildren; mother, Carole Avant and husband Arthur; 1 step-brother, Kerry Avant; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
