BRIDGEPORT -- Johnnie Lee Bearden, a retired seamstress, died Monday, June 18, 2007 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Paradise Cemetery. Visitation: 9 a.m. until service time. Speaker will be Michael Bearden.
Johnnie was born in Bering, Texas, the daughter of John and Willie (Gorman) Lee. She married Rexford D. Bearden on May 11, 1979 in Decatur, Texas.
Mrs. Bearden was a member of the First Christian Church in Paradise.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Thurman and Bud Lee; 3 sisters, Leata, Louretta, and Pauline.
Survivors: husband, Rexford Bearden of Bridgeport; step-sons, Michael Bearden of Bridgeport and Tim Bearden of Hardin, Texas; her sister, Jessi Lattimore of Houston, Texas; her sister-in-law, Inez Lee of Bridgeport; niece, Gayle Read of Bridgeport; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
