John Stewart, Jr.

Boyd ~ John Stewart, 67, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral is 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Aurora Baptist Church with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Steve Hamm and Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers will include Rick Stokes, Larry Naugle, Kevin Howard, Kris Howard, Wade Hawthorne, Terri Solomon, Jay Copeland, and Brad Adcock.

John was born November 15, 1954 to Roy and Enell Lenice (Peebles) Stewart in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a retired music minister after many years serving in the ministry. John was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Stewart and son, Christopher Stewart.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Timothy Stewart and fiancé Jennifer of Bedford, and Scottlan Stewart and wife Ronette of Haslet; his mother, Enell Stewart of North Richland Hills; his 6 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Malaney, Skyler, Addison, Emery, and Kambrie; his brother, Vick Stewart of Saginaw; his sister, Martha Stewart of Bedford, Virginia; other family members and a host of friends.
