Boyd ~ John Casper Hunter, 94, a retired stock clerk for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, went to be with our Lord Monday, June 22, 2015 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers include Mike Fletcher, Justin Hunter, Nick Holloway, Shawn Shoemaker, Alec Hunter, and David Musick. Honorary pallbearers are Milton Hemlich, Stephen Backstrom, and Jeff Burch.
John was born on June 2, 1921 to Efton and Ida Mae (Beck) Hunter in Memphis, Texas. He was united in marriage to Pauline Judge on February 26, 1949 in Mineral Wells, Texas. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father, and a devoted Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pauline Hunter in 2007; his grandson, Jacob Thomas Hunter; his brother, Andy Hunter; his sisters, Ava Erwin, Ola Mae Urban, Alma Lee Glissen, and Arlie Anderson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Charles E. Hunter and wife Yolanda of San Antonio, Louis Paul Hunter and wife Betty of Boyd and Alton E. Hunter and wife Vicki of Boyd; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his brothers, Louis R. Hunter and Eldon Hunter; his sister, Louise Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
