PARADISE -- John Elmer Hudson, 90, owner of Hudson Grocery in Paradise, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in Decatur.
Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
John was born on May 7, 1918 in Decatur, the son of James and Kitty (Boydston) Hudson. He served his country in the U.S Army during WWII. John was married to Utoka Fitzgerald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Jesse Parker.
Left behind to cherish his memory is: sons, Johnny Hudson and wife Sue of Paradise, James Hudson and wife Sharon of Argyle; 3 grandchildren, Karen, Keith, Ashley; 3 great grandchildren, John Duke, Word, Raychel; sisters, Louise Skinner of Decatur, and Eva Meek of Weatherford.
