Joan Frances Schedcik

Bridgeport~ Joan Frances Schedcik, 84, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with burial at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Father Anto Carloose to officiate.

Joan was born on March 25, 1939 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Raymond and Vivian (Heagle) Lamb. She was a retired medical record clerk and a devoted homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Joan was united in marriage to Jack Schedcik on June 28, 1958 in Menasha, Wisconsin. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Vivian Lamb; and her daughter-in-law, Brandi Schedcik.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Jack Schedcik of Runaway Bay; her sons, John Schedcik of Alvord and Patrick Schedcik of Denton; her daughter, Risa Kaker and husband Carl of Paradise; her grandchildren, Christopher Kaker of Cabot, Arkansas, Nicolas Kaker of Paradise, Marissa and Katelyn Schedcik both of Alvord; her brother, Gary Lamb and wife Margaret; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
