Boyd ~ Jimmy Williams, 82, a retired press brake operator, went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers include Terry Vaughn, Rod Bill Scroggins, Rusty Scroggins, Mark Starnes, Bobby Mitchell and Ronnie Smith.

Jimmy was born on June 1, 1932 to James and Havana (Cash) Williams in Boyd, Texas. He was united in marriage to Beth Hall on October 17, 1958 in Azle, Texas. Jimmy served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an employee of Le nnox Air Conditioning and Heating Company for 33 years and retired in 1991. Jimmy was a member of the Briar Baptist Church, the VFW Post #2137 and the American Legion.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Norma Jay Williams; his brother, Fred J. Williams;  his sister, Lillie Mae Scroggins; and his son-in-law, Steve Watson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Beth Williams of Boyd; his daughters, Joni D’Ann Watson of Roanoke and Lynn White and husband Chad of Bridgeport; his sons, Jimmy Williams and wife Donna of Boyd and Johnny Williams and wife Terry of Boyd; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his little sister, Sue Richardson; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Boyd or Boyd Cemetery Association.
