Jimmy T.V. Hunt

Decatur ~ Jimmy T.V. Hunt, 74, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Plano.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Decatur with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pallbearers include Dustin Burns, Joey McConnell, Larry Baker, Ethan Powell, Jordan McConnell, Ryder McConnell, Kyle Baker, and Dominicke Hanchey.

Jimmy was born on October 9, 1944 to Wesley and Edith (Grimes) Hunt in Hollywood, California. He was united in marriage to Verlin Rhoads on September 21, 1989 in Cottondale, Texas. Jimmy retired from Peterbilt as an assembly specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Betty Sechrist and Ellen Hudson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Verlin Hunt of Decatur; his daughter, Stacie Burns and husband Britt of Decatur; his son Brandon Hunt and wife Wendy of Hutto; his daughter, Cassie Powell and husband Steve of Paradise; his son, Larry Baker and wife Sherry of Runaway Bay; his daughter, Rachale Taylor and husband Kris of Boyd; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenneth Hunt and wife Lillie of Decatur, Steve Hunt and wife Karen of Decatur, Freddy Hunt and wife Monica of Decatur;  several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
