Boyd ~ Jim Holman, 75, a retired assembler for Bell Helicopter, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Bedford.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Boyd Cemetery . Family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.
Jim was born on January 27, 1939 to Woodrow and Ruby (Airington) Holman in Tipton , Oklahoma . He was united in marriage to Jessie Throneberry on September 7, 1958 in Grandfield , Oklahoma . Jim served his country in the Army Reserves and retired after 35 years from Bell Helicopter. He was a proud, card carrying member of the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma and an avid fan of the Boyd Yellow Jackets.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Jessie Holman of Boyd; his son, Mike Holman and wife Kenette of Paradise; his daughters, Vickie Baucom and husband Ronnie of Midland, and Cindy Carey and husband Charlie of Azle; his grandchildren, Dustin, Phillip, Travis, Joey, Ashlee, Skylin, Trinity, and Michael; his great grandchildren, Eden, Elise, and Elijah; his brothers, George Holman and wife Denise of Georgia, Wayne Holman and wife Nancy of Oklahoma; his sister, Mary Sturdevant of Arkansas; numerous other relatives, and a host of friends.
